An overreaching conman bites off more than he can chew, digs a mammoth hole for himself in the bargain, and then is forced to spend an excessive amount of time looking for ways out of the mess. That, in a nutshell, is the storyline of Raja Natwarlal.Sounds utterly hackneyed? It certainly does, yet it might have yielded a passably entertaining film if only the screenplay wasn’t so overly harebrained.
This laboured, lumbering Bollywood tribute to a fictional “naye India ka naya Natwarlal”, scripted by Parveez Shaikh and directed by Kunal Deshmukh, does not quite make the grade as the smart crime caper that it so desperately wants to be.
The narrative is clunky and sluggish. It can barely hold itself together, let alone keep the audience in its grip for nearly two and a half hours.
The titular male character fakes everything from the white ball used in the 2011 ICC World Cup final to an auction of an IPL-style cricket team to his own death in order to get the better of his adversaries.
The crazy games that he plays and the outright fakery that’s on show rubs off on the film as a whole.Raja Natwarlal is none of what it promises to be.
When nothing that unravels on the screen appears to be happening in earnest, a film can only slip into the trap of being too clever by half.
Raja Natwarlal does just that. It sinks quickly into a muddled plot that proves to a bottomless pit.
In one scene, the cold-blooded baddie clobbers a bald man with the very cricket bat that the latter seeks to pass off as the willow that Don Bradman played with in an Ashes Test in the 1930s.
Raja Natwarlal is the kind of film in which even a harmless old cricket bat is used for a bloody purpose that isn’t permissible if one went strictly by the rule books.
The film resembles a magician’s sleight of hand that has pretensions to intelligence and insight but is in reality a completely dumb act that is only unintentionally funny.
What Raja Natwarlal lacks is authentic humour and genuine sparks of inspiration. As a result, despite the consistently retrained acting all around, it fails to be anything more than desultory.
The protagonist, Raja (Emraan Hashmi), is a small-time crook with a heart of gold who, in the company of friend and benefactor Raghav (Deepak Tijori), swindles the gullible to fund his little escapades.
But the poor guy does not make enough dough to be able to rescue his girlfriend Ziya (Pakistani model and actress Humaima Malick in her first Mumbai film) from the bar where she dances every night before drunk, leering, money-waving men.
So Raja decides to do something about pulling off a con job that can alter his life for good. He robs a couple of gangsters of a briefcase containing a fat sum of money.
That act of bravado changes his life all right but not quite in the way he anticipates.
It sets off a chain of events that puts him in the line of fire of wealthy Cape Town-based outlaw Vardha Yadav (Kay Kay Menon).
Painted into a corner, Raja turns to Yogi (Paresh Rawal), a wise old man who has turned his back on a life of crime and gone into hiding in Dharamshala.
The duo put together a team that sets out to give Vardha Yadav a run for his money, playing on his obsession with India’s national pastime.
If seen in isolation, parts of Raja Natwarlal are watchable owing to the presence in the cast of Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon, both of whom are proven quantities and past masters at making the best of a bad deal.
Emraan Hashmi is no pushover either. Even in the most unconvincing of scenes, he manages to hold on to his composure, demonstrating why he is one of Bollywood’s most effective (and underrated) actors.
Humaima Malick, who gets to sway to two dance numbers within the first 30 minutes of the film, besides being part of several other musical set pieces, has just enough to do not to be swamped out by the men.
But for all the efforts put in by the cast, two stars are all that Raja Natwarlal will get. But even these might well be fake, given that the film has such unwavering love for the phony.

The story revolves around Samrat Tilakdhari or STD as he is fondly known. No, he does not see anything wrong with the nickname. He also wears a trench coat, has curly hair, deduces stuff fast, talks even faster, and indulges in recreational boxing. And he has an an assistant-cum-friend called Chakradhar Pandey or CD.
The script is full of cheesy and unintentionally hilarious dialogues, such as, "Come and get ready for dilchasp rahasya", or "Here's a mistress in distress". The fringe characters remind us of the motley group in 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' or 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun'. For example, the maid-in-chief Shanti (Puja Gupta), tries very hard to be like the late actor Lakshmikant Berde, the mimicking Hari (Navin Prabhakar) is a mere caricature that can be found in any one of the background cast from a saas-bahu drama. We were fully convinced that the Barjatya favourite Pomeranian dog 'Tuffy' might make an entrance. Thankfully, he didn't.

Kaanchi: The Unbreakable has good intentions and that’s about the only positive thing that can be said about this amateurish, infantile disaster. This is the kind of movie where characters look into the camera and wink, to indicate to the audience that what is about to follow is a joke. It’s the kind of movie where one character says something to the effect of “You know how dangerous I can be” to another, with the straightest of faces. It’s the kind of film that seems to have been put together to give students from Whistling Woods International, Ghai’s Mumbai-based film school, a chance to exercise the skills they just learned in the classroom.
Mishti's debut performance is very good and Kartik too seems to have good work yet again. There on screen chemistry looks really good. The story line is really involving.

"Dhoom: 3" has—by far—the best action set pieces of the series. All the films borrow (to be generous) liberally from other movies, and "Dhoom: 3" picks some nifty sources, with everything from "The Blues Brothers" cop-car pile-ups to Christopher Nolan's "The Prestige" showing up for a salute, though the three main motorcycle set pieces are mounted with sufficient skill as to render them beyond complaints of stealing. If "Dhoom: 3" lacks anything beyond overlooking its women characters slightly, it's the feverish insanity that made "Dhoom: 2" such a delight. But these are small quibbles with what is otherwise an enormously satisfying blockbuster and a splendid continuation of the "Dhoom" franchise, which really is to an uncanny degree an exact dead ringer for a Bollywood "Fast & Furious" saga.

Has baby pooped? What colour and consistency? Burped? Fed? Conversation ranges along these lines. Romance is down to how much diapers cost. And mind-blowing midnight sex? What’s that?
The mantle of the harried married couple is worn by Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan, as we see them struggle with their ‘shaadi’ and its fall-out. ’Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ begins with a bang, pun completely intended, and we are taken in by Sid and Trisha’s life, so close to what we may have lived through. Or are wading through, as double income-no-kids turns into single income-cranky wife-desperate husband-demanding baby. All she can think of is the offspring. All he can think of, longingly, is the way it used to be—being a ‘boy’ with the boys, swilling beer, lounging on couch with the telly blaring, cheering at the game.

The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring.
While I enjoyed the first Hobbit film, it did feel like it left a bit to be desired. This was no surprise, as everything that I loved about the book was in the second half. I knew that I would be waiting for all the good stuff with the second and third films. And sure enough, the second film delivers where the first film didn't quite excite as much as I had wanted. While it isn't perfect and does unnecessarily deviate a bit, this is easily better than the first film, giving us a bigger, bolder adventure and a more interesting Bilbo Baggins this time around.

The movie is a great political thriller and i must admit, even without the bonus of superheroes, the script/story is a great movie. The superheroes is what we pay and want to see but the amazing flow of the movie itself should leave many satisfied. The superheroes and villains were all great and i hope we continue seeing the Falcon in the future along with Black Widow. This movie is the most closely linked with The Avengers and also Avengers Age of Ultron, from the rest of the phase 2 films. This is a great movie and one that i highly recommend watching.

In The Wolf of Wall Street DiCaprio plays Belfort, a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 36 months in prison for defrauding investors in a massive 1990s securities scam that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, including shoe designer Steve Madden.
This movie will not disappoint it was much better than I expected and the duration of the movie is not felt at all. It definitely did not feel like a 3 hour production. Scorsese put this movie together brilliantly! You are on your toes and engaged throughout from beginning to end. Leonardo DiCaprio is at his best! He will take you through the highs and lows of the movie with an Oscar Winning Performance. I read about Jordan Belfort and it appears that Scorsese and DiCaprio made this movie as accurate as possible which I really appreciate. I commend Scorsese and DiCaprio for keeping this epic picture as authentic as possible.

The film has received mixed reviews from critics on its release for the storyline. According to critics, the film is relying high on Rishi and Khurrana's performance.
Khurrana and Sonam managed to impress the critics but it's veteran Rishi who stole the spotlight.
The film is directed by Nupur Asthana and written by Habib Faisal.

Well the movie is simple, realistic, beautifully shot, has nice music and is diligently acted. If you are looking for an out of the box movie, this movie is not for you. It is for those soul, who believe more in spiritual form of love rather than physical. It touches you at various level, though revolving around a linear storyline. The movie also touches upon various important social issues without being redundant and preachy such as child abuse, class difference etc.It also never appears to be overacted, though the scene in the second half where Alia confronts ghost of her past seems quite elongated. All in all a good clean family movie with a soulful core and a genuine message you can take back home. One of the best works of Imtiaz after Jab we Met ..one of the most soulful indeed.Though we all know practically in real life a lot of things are not possible ,but these movies sometimes gives us a hope to believe in good ...and in spiritual love. After all some movies are meant to make you oblivious about reality...for sometime.

Queen is a movie about growing up. Rani (Kangana Ranaut) is a Delhi girl from a conservative family who is ditched by her fiancé just before her marriage. Shocked by this, she decides to set out on the planned honeymoon alone. As she travels the world and meets new people, she gains new experiences and discovers her own identity.
Kangana Ranaut delivers a performance that marks her light years ahead of any of her contemporaries. She conveys most through her pitch-perfect body language. And even in her dialogues she gets the right tonality for it all. 'Queen' might be the birth of a legend and thank God for that!
If Kangana was exemplary, a large part of the success of it can be attributed to Bahl. He had done the detailing of the film with a hawk like precision. I won't be surprised if the director had already painted in his head the image of how he will pursue every scene and every slide in the film.
'Queen' is easily one of the most accomplished films made in a long time. The skillful direction of Vikas and Kangana's easy virtuoso makes this one an indulgent affair.

Such is the comedy. Pretty immature. It is to save your from the torture of watching this movie that reviewers like myself are writing this. I give half a star to the movie, like I do to most, purely for the effort of making the film.
Yaariyan is an entirely disappointing film. The characters are flawed, and the acting is fake. There's not story or plot in the film. This college in Sikkim has five young kids. The boys just have the one dream of gaining access to the girls' hostel and kissing a girl. Mind you, before heading out there, the hero even takes the permission of his aunt and the girls' hostel's warden. Trouble comes in the form of a company wanting to build a casino on the spot where the college now stands. The challenge is to win five competitions, between the Australians and the college kids.
Lots of action, lost of attempt to create drama, and not-so-great dialogues take over the movie.

I can't find a single reason to appreciate this movie, the script was idiotic, didn't expect that, since Neeraj Pandey was associated with this movie. The film has no story at all, some Scattered events sewed together, which were supposed to make sense, but they seldom do. The movie progresses very slowly and by the second Half it gets super boring and starts to fall apart.
The acting was average, Ali Zafar tried but doesn't actually click, Yami Gautam was all smiles and nothing else, only Kiron Kher did something good in acting department rest were all were bland. In the second half Anupam Kher appears but I don't have a single clue What he was doing in the movie, it's rather annoying to see such a talented actor's potential not utilized.
The movie also tried to tackle the India-Pakistan issue, but it all seemed pointless, at the conclusion, I would say it's a "total" waste of time and money.

In Gulaab Gang, writer-director Soumik Sen brings together a slew of talented women — Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Juhi Chawla, Divya Jagdale, Tannishtha Chatterjee. He lifts liberally from the inspiring story of Sampat Pal, an illiterate villager who formed a group of women vigilantes called Gulabi Gang in Bundelkhand. But Sen is unable to embed the actresses into his fictionalised version in a coherent way. The result is an ineffectual and messy ode to women empowerment in which women, with nicely styled hair and handloom saris, maim, kill, fight elections and in between find the time to sing and dance.
It’s fun to see the saccharine sweet Juhi turn venomous. She plays Sumitra Devi, a deliciously despicable politician. Her perverse wickedness is the best part of the film. But it’s such a one-note character that it soon becomes predictable. Meanwhile, Madhuri as Rajjo is the avenging angel who channels her inner Durga and even gets to wield an axe. It’s also nice to see women kicking ass onscreen but it would be nicer if the narrative had some logic. Even the accents in their fictional village are inconsistent.
For a real dose of women empowerment, watch Gulabi Gang, a terrific documentary on Sampat Pal, which is still running in select theaters. Gulaab Gang is the masala remix.
